The Sacramento Kings will begin their postseason campaign without one of their key players, Malik Monk, as he is set to miss four to six weeks due to a sprained right MCL. Monk sustained the injury early in the Kings’ loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday and did not return to the game.

This setback comes after the Kings also lost guard Kevin Huerter to season-ending shoulder surgery earlier in the week. Throughout the season, Monk has been a significant contributor off the bench for Sacramento, averaging 15.4 points and 5.1 assists in 72 games, making him a strong contender for the Sixth Man of the Year award.
