Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs appreciates veteran Gary Harris for helping him grow both on and off the court.

Brian Hill: “I keep saying on the telecast, when you and Gary Harris are out there picking up guys at half-court and really pressuring the basketball, pressuring people… The guys behind you, your teammates behind you can’t help but pick up their defensive effort at the same time. Do you feel that as a player? Or does Coach Mosley talk about that with you?”

Suggs: “I know me personally, I feel that just being on the court with Gary, watching him defend, learning from him as a defender, I think has really helped me grow this year. He’s continued to teach me about basketball, defensively, offensively, life. He’s been a great mentor. So being on the court with him, sharing that same defensive tenacity, and then everybody else coming along and everybody’s talking. Dell’s setting the tone in the paint, P and Franz are active, and then we’re all five on one accord. It’s really fun to play defense with these guys. Definitely can feel when it gets ramped up, just how good we can be.”
