Inquired about the challenge of deciphering the Boston Celtics’ defensive strategies throughout the game, the Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic highlighted the numerous on-ball defensive options available to disrupt offensive actions and execute switches.

He attributed the Celtics’ status as the top or second-ranked defense in the NBA to their dual proficiency in both offense and defense. According to Doncic, they currently stand as the best team in the NBA, posing difficulties on both ends of the court.

“That’s why they’re the No. 1 or No. 2 defense in the NBA,” Doncic said. “They have offense and defense. I think that’s the best team in the NBA right now. And it’s tough on both ends, for sure.”
