Phoenix Suns’ star Devin Booker was ejected from the game against the Detroit Pistons after receiving a technical foul less than six minutes into the matchup. The controversial call sparked outrage from Suns head coach Frank Vogel.

Booker’s early ejection came as a result of an altercation with the referee, where he was seen seemingly pointing a finger at the official.

Despite his brief time on the court, Booker managed to contribute seven points to the Suns’ scoreboard.

Following the game, Vogel expressed his frustration with the referee’s decision during the postgame press conference.

He vehemently criticized the call, describing it as “freaking ridiculous” and deeming it unfair to penalize a star player in such a manner. “Freaking ridiculous. Total BS to take a star player out of the game,” the coach said.

Despite losing Booker, the Suns managed to defeat the Pistons 116-100 behind 25 points from Kevin Durant.
