The Boston Celtics have bolstered their frontcourt depth ahead of the playoffs by acquiring Xavier Tillman from the Memphis Grizzlies in a trade deal.

In exchange for Tillman, the Celtics are sending Lamar Stevens, a 2027 second-round pick (via the Hawks), and a 2030 second-round pick (via the Mavericks) to the Grizzlies.

Tillman is averaging 6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 20.6 minutes per game for the injury-ravaged Grizzlies. The 25-year-old center is on an expiring four-year, $6.5 million contract.

On the other hand, Stevens, on a one-year, $2.1 million contract, has seen limited playing time with the Celtics this season. The 26-year-old small forward has played sparingly for the Celtics this season, averaging 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per game, appearing in 19 games overall.
