The Portland Trail Blazers are signaling to other teams that they have a strong interest in retaining veterans Jerami Grant and Malcolm Brogdon, both of whom have been subject to trade rumors ahead of the deadline. However, for the Trail Blazers to consider parting with either player, they would require an exceptionally compelling offer.

Jerami Grant, who recently re-signed for five years and $160 million, is considered a veteran leader and a crucial presence in a position where the team lacks depth. Malcolm Brogdon, acquired in the offseason, is owed $22.5 million in each of this season and the next, and the Blazers value his veteran contributions to their group of young guards.
