Franz Wagner dropped career-high-matching 38 points, leading the Orlando Magic (27-23) to a triumphant 111-99 victory over the struggling Detroit Pistons (6-43) on Sunday.

Paolo Banchero chipped in with 20 points, along with six rebounds and seven assists, contributing to Orlando’s balanced offensive effort.

Despite the Pistons’ efforts, led by Cade Cunningham (18 points) and Jaden Ivey (18 points), the Magic seized control in the fourth quarter. Rookie Ausra Thompson added 17 points off the bench.

The Magic’s defense held firm in critical moments, thwarting the Pistons’ attempts to mount a comeback.
