As the NBA trade deadline approaches, the Washington Wizards find themselves in the midst of trade talks involving several key players.

According to reports from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Kyle Kuzma, Tyus Jones, Daniel Gafford, Delon Wright, and Landry Shamet are among those attracting exploratory trade interest from other teams.

Kuzma has been a standout performer for the Wizards, averaging an impressive 21.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in 31.4 minutes per game. Currently in the first year of a substantial four-year, $90 million contract, Kuzma’s contributions have made him a sought-after asset. Reportedly, Washington is reluctant to move him.

Jones, 27, is also on the radar of interested teams. With averages of 12.3 points, 6.3 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 28.6 minutes per game, the 27-year-old is in the final year of his two-year, $29 million contract.

Gafford is posting averages of 10.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 26.2 minutes per game. The 25-year-old center is in the initial year of a three-year, $40 million contract, adding to his appeal in the trade market.

Wright is averaging 4.5 points, 2.8 assists, and 2 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per game. The 31-year-old point guard is on the final year of his two-year, $16 million contract.

Shamet is also part of the trade discussions. With averages of 7.8 points, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 15 minutes per game, the 26-year-old is currently in the second year of a four-year, $42.5 million contract.

Amidst these trade talks, the Wizards see rookie Bilal Coulibaly as a core member of their future, emphasizing the team’s commitment to building for the long term.
