The Los Angeles Lakers have officially signed guard Skylar Mays to a two-way contract, as announced by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka.

Mays comes to the Lakers from the Portland Trail Blazers, where he played 21 games, including five starts, this season.

During his time with the Trail Blazers, Mays averaged 6.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in just 17.0 minutes per game.

In his broader NBA career spanning both Portland (2022-24) and Atlanta (2020-22), Mays has participated in 88 NBA contests, making 16 starts and maintaining averages of 4.9 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 11.8 minutes.

Mays, a Louisiana native, has also honed his craft in the NBA G League, playing with Mexico City (2022-23), Delaware (2022-23), and College Park (2021-22).

His G League stats boast career averages of 14.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 27.8 minutes per game over 30 total contests, including 15 starts.
