The Los Angeles Lakers (17-19) faced another setback as they suffered their 10th loss in 13 games, with a disappointing 127-113 defeat against the Memphis Grizzlies (12-23).

Despite a 32-point performance from LeBron James and 31 points from Anthony Davis, the Lakers’ woes persist since their triumph in the NBA In-Season Tournament, winning only against San Antonio, Oklahoma City, and Charlotte.

Austin Reaves’ 19 points and career-high 12 assists couldn’t salvage the Lakers’ position as they dropped to 0-2 in a challenging 12-game stretch.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 31 points, supported by Marcus Smart’s 29 points and Desmond Bane’s 24 points and 13 assists. Ja Morant added 21 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds.

The Lakers, missing key players like D’Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura, struggled to contain Memphis’ offensive onslaught.
