The Brooklyn Nets (16-20) halted their winless streak in the new year, securing a 124-115 victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-11) behind standout performances from Spencer Dinwiddie and Nic Claxton.

The Nets entered the game on a five-game losing streak, but Dinwiddie and Claxton changed the narrative by each contributing 23 points, steering Brooklyn to a decisive win. Cam Thomas emerged from a shooting slump with 19 points.

Despite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s outstanding effort with 34 points, nine assists, and six rebounds for the Thunder, Brooklyn’s comprehensive performance broke the losing streak. Jalen Williams added 20 points, and Chet Holmgren contributed 17 for the Thunder.

The game featured the return of Lonnie Walker IV for the Nets, who played six minutes after missing the previous 17 games with a strained left hamstring.

However, the Nets faced a setback as Cam Johnson left the game late due to cramping in his left hamstring. He had 9 points in 32 minutes of play.
