In a tightly contested battle, the Atlanta Hawks (14-19) emerged victorious against the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-10) with a final score of 141-138, putting an end to the Thunder’s five-game winning streak.

Jalen Johnson showcased his scoring prowess with a career-high 28 points, leading a balanced effort from the Hawks.

Trae Young contributed 24 points and 11 assists, forming a dynamic duo with Johnson. The Hawks boasted four players scoring over 20 points, with Bogdan Bogdanovic adding 23 points and Dejounte Murray chipping in with 22.

In addition to Johnson’s heroics, Clint Capela recorded a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, contributing to the Hawks’ well-rounded performance. Bogdanovic’s sharpshooting from beyond the arc, finishing 5 for 11, added another dimension to Atlanta’s offensive arsenal.

Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fought valiantly, tallying 33 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Atlanta’s collective effort. Jalen Williams contributed 21 points for the Thunder.

Despite trailing by double digits for a significant portion of the game, the Thunder mounted a late comeback. Gilgeous-Alexander’s layup with 48.5 seconds left narrowed the deficit to 141-136. After a miss by Murray, another basket from Gilgeous-Alexander trimmed the lead to three, but Isaiah Joe’s last-second 3-pointer failed to alter the outcome.
