In a convincing 114-99 victory, the Toronto Raptors (11-15) extended the Charlotte Hornets’ (7-18) losing streak to five games on Monday night.

Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 27 points, including eight crucial points in the fourth quarter, while Gary Trent Jr. posted a career-high double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Raptors’ rookie Scottie Barnes contributed significantly, scoring 22 points and matching his career-high with 17 rebounds.

The Hornets faced multiple challenges, missing key starters, including Miles Bridges, who was denied entry to Canada due to past legal issues.

The Hornets, already dealing with injuries to LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, Mark Williams, and Cody Martin, faced additional challenges without Bridges.

Despite Charlotte’s injury woes, Terry Rozier led the team with 22 points, but it wasn’t enough to avoid their fifth consecutive loss.
