The Sixers and their president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, have reached an agreement for an extension that will keep Morey with the team until the 2027/28 season. Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN broke the news.

Since joining the 76ers in the 2020 offseason, Morey has been at the helm of basketball operations, having previously worked in Houston’s front office for a long tenure.

Under Morey’s leadership, the 76ers achieved a record of 154 wins and 82 losses (.653 winning percentage) in the first three seasons, making the playoffs each year and advancing through a series before bowing out in the second round.

The team has started the current season with a 16-7 record.
