One the key players at Zalgiris, Marcus Brown, was loaned out to Euroleague runners-up Maccabi Tel-Aviv official club's website announced. There were rumours floating around about Brown leaving the team and signing a new contract. Maccabi were reportedly interested in Brown in previous seasons.
Marcus Brown should make his debtu for the Yellows next Thursday in a Euroleague game against Cibona Zagreb.
Last season Brown had 14.5 points per game in Euroleague. He was also named LKL (Lithuanian Basketball League) Finals MVP where he helped Zalgiris to take the title against Lietuvos Rytas.
Zalgiris is already looking for a replacement for Marcus Brown. There aren't many players in the market that are at the same level as Brown.
