The Los Angeles Lakers have made a strategic move, assigning forward Maxwell Lewis to their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, according to a tweet by Ryan Ward.

At 21 years old, Lewis has seen limited action in ten games for the Lakers this season, registering no points in an average of 4.3 minutes per game.

Originally selected with the 40th pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets, Lewis’s draft rights were subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He officially signed with the Lakers on July 8, 2023.
