Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse discussed Robert Covington’s productive bench minutes after last night’s 125-119 road loss vs. the Boston Celtics (18 points/5 rebounds/1 assist/5 steals/1 block/4-9 FG/3-6 3-PT/7-7 FT).

(via NBC Sports Philadelphia):

Reporter: “Covington had 3 threes, 5 steals, and a block. What would you say about his overall performance?”

Nurse: “That’s what he kind of does, he makes plays: loose ball finder, good anticipation as a weak side defender. I thought he turned into the 5 man for a little bit, we were trying to pick-and-pop their size a little bit, and he turned into that and made a couple good plays. Had a really big one in the corner, I think that would have been cool if he’d made that one.”
