In a stunning comeback, the Charlotte Hornets (5-9) orchestrated a rally from a 19-point deficit to defeat the struggling Washington Wizards (2-12) 117-114 on Wednesday night, with LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges leading the charge.

Ball showcased his brilliance with an impressive stat line, amassing 34 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds, maintaining his hot streak with six successful 3-pointers.

Bridges complemented Ball’s performance with a season-high 33 points and 11 rebounds, while Mark Williams contributed 11 points and 14 rebounds for Charlotte.

The fourth quarter proved crucial as Ball orchestrated a remarkable comeback, contributing 12 points, seven assists, and four rebounds, securing the victory with Bridges’ clutch step-back 3-pointer with 47 seconds left.

This marks the second consecutive game where the Hornets mounted a significant comeback, having overcome an 18-point deficit to defeat the Boston Celtics in overtime just two nights prior.

Despite Kyle Kuzma’s commendable effort of 28 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds, the Wizards succumbed to their seventh consecutive loss.

The absence of P.J. Washington, sidelined due to a foot strain, did not deter the Hornets’ resolve as they secured their fifth win of the season.
