In a nail-biting showdown, Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards showcased their scoring prowess, combining for 52 points, as the Minnesota Timberwolves (9-3) secured a thrilling 121-120 comeback victory against the New Orleans Pelicans (6-7).

As the game reached its climax, Edwards fouled out with 10 seconds left, leaving Towns to step up for the decisive play drawn by Wolves coach Chris Finch.

Towns delivered a clutch running floater off the glass with 5 seconds remaining, concluding his impressive 29-point, nine-assist performance and securing the Timberwolves’ comeback from a 14-point deficit in the final 7:32.

Despite Ingram’s game-high 30 points, his missed free throw provided Towns the opportunity to seal the victory from close range. Ingram’s last-second mid-range jumper also failed, capping a challenging closing stretch for the Pelicans.

Rudy Gobert contributed 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaden McDaniels added 12 points for the Timberwolves.

Jonas Valanciunas led the Pelicans with 26 points and 11 rebounds, and Herb Jones had 13 points and a career-high eight assists but fouled out in the final minute.

Playing without Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum, the Pelicans held the lead for most of the game, starting strong with a 43-28 advantage when Daniels hit a deep shot on the left wing.
