In a spectacular performance, Sacramento Kings’ All-Star De’Aaron Fox stole the spotlight, scoring a season-high 43 points and leading his team to a 129-120 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA In-Season Tournament.

Despite an impressive 27-point effort from Victor Wembanyama, the Kings remained undefeated in the tournament, securing a 2-0 standing in West Group C.

Fox’s remarkable display included 16 points in the crucial fourth quarter, falling just one point short of his career-high 44 points.

The seventh-year guard showcased his scoring prowess, going 14 for 24 from the field, including 5 for 11 on 3-pointers. This marked Fox’s seventh 40-point game in his career.

Domantas Sabonis contributed significantly with 27 points and 14 rebounds, while Malik Monk added 20 points, contributing to Sacramento’s fifth consecutive win.

Despite Wembanyama’s 27-point effort, the 7-foot-3 rookie faced strong opposition from the veteran Kings.

Sacramento’s resilience was evident when they embarked on a crucial 7-0 run after the Spurs closed the gap to 112-111 with six minutes remaining. Fox’s leadership and scoring prowess played a pivotal role in securing the win.

San Antonio, missing key players Devin Vassell and Tre Jones, struggled to contain the Kings’ offensive firepower.
