Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv made a temporary move to Belgrade due to an ongoing situation in Israel and commenced their stay with a victory.
Oded Kattash’s team secured a 93-90 win against Bayern Munich, with the game taking place in the Aleksandar Nikolic hall, played in front of empty stands for security reasons.
Bonzie Colson emerged as the leading scorer for Maccabi with 19 points, but it was Lorenzo Brown who played a crucial role in the dying moments of the game, contributing six pivotal points and helping secure the team’s victory.
Brown concluded the match with a total of 13 points and seven assists.
“We miss Tel Aviv, we miss playing in front of our fans,” Colson admitted after the game. “We’ve got the best fans in EuroLeague, so we definitely miss them, but it’s good to be here and play the game that we all love.”
