Jayson Tatum, undoubtedly the main star of the Celtics alongside Jaylen Brown, is a 25-year-old small forward and a strong MVP candidate, showcasing undeniable talent. However, it wasn’t always how he viewed himself when Boston drafted him.

“Man, I was ignorant when I got drafted. First of all, I didn’t even want to come because I didn’t think I was going to play. They had Gordon (Hayward) and JB and Isaiah Thomas, Smart… I didn’t think I was good enough to be on that team,” Tatum admitted, via HoopsHype, after leading the Celtics with 32 points to a win against the Nets.

This season, Tatum is averaging an impressive 30.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 35 minutes per game, solidifying his status as one of the league’s top talents.
