The Milwaukee Bucks encountered their first loss of the season against the Atlanta Hawks (127-110), alongside a disappointing performance from their new star, Damian Lillard, who scored only 6 points and shot 2 for 12 from the field, following an impressive 39-point performance in the season opener.

Teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo, however, remains unfazed by Lillard’s struggles, emphasizing that one off-night doesn’t alter his view of Lillard’s abilities.

“I know how good he is and at the end of the day, we need him to keep shooting, we need him to keep on being great,” expressed Antetokounmpo, as reported by Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

“We have him. Obviously we didn’t win the game but he’s our guy now and at the end of the day we want him to be extra aggressive.”

Antetokounmpo acknowledged the added pressure on Lillard as a primary playmaker, often contending with double teams, and highlighted the importance of his contributions to the team’s success.
