Four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala, who recently bid farewell to his basketball career, praised Jrue Holiday as the most underrated player of this generation, emphasizing his remarkable abilities both defensively and in elevating the performance of the teams he’s been a part of.

Reflecting on Holiday’s consistent impact, Iguodala underscored his surprise at the guard’s absence from the All-Defensive Team throughout his career, noting his keen observation of Holiday’s exceptional skills during their time together in Philadelphia.

“He is the most underrated player of this generation,” Iguodala said about Holiday. “For him to not make All-Defensive Team every single year every year he’s been in the league. I spent some time with him in Philly, I saw that at a young age. This guy’s different.

“He’s a similar every team he’s been on maximize their potential, regardless if they were making a run in the championship or if they down in New Orleans, they always were competing, they can always upset. So I’m a huge Jrue Holiday fan I know what he brings to the table.”

Iguodala’s sentiments come as part of his analysis of the Eastern Conference’s potential contenders, where he tipped the Boston Celtics, particularly citing the contributions of Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to the team’s formidable lineup.

He also acknowledged the strength of the Milwaukee Bucks, now bolstered by the addition of superstar Damian Lillard, as a formidable force to reckon with in the upcoming season.

“Milwaukee Bucks, very, very, very talented team. They got to figure out, I shouldn’t say they have to, but they will have to figure out how they’ll delegate the responsibilities with who’s handling the ball the most. Giannis is so used to being ball-dominant,” Iguodala said.
