The Chicago Bulls have decided to waive guard Carlik Jones, as reported by NBA insider Shams Charania.

Jones initially signed a two-way contract with the Bulls in December 2022. His contract was converted to a standard NBA contract in March 2023.

The 25-year-old guard subsequently made a significant mark in the G League, earning the title of NBA G League Most Valuable Player.

Moreover, Jones’s commendable achievements extended beyond the NBA. He played a pivotal role in the South Sudan national team’s remarkable journey in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, leading the team to secure a historic spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Notably, Jones emerged as the tournament leader in assists, averaging an impressive 10.6 assists per game, and also contributed 20.4 points per game in 30.2 minutes of play.
