Ben Simmons showcased promise once more during Thursday night’s match, the Nets’ second preseason game.

Operating as the primary playmaker, he orchestrated plays in the 135-103 victory against Maccabi Ra’anana at Barclays Center.

Simmons displayed fluidity, punctuated by an early steal followed by a powerful slam dunk, and distributed a team-leading nine assists.

His objective is to affirm his well-being, especially considering his absence in the latter part of the previous season due to a troublesome left knee and a nerve injury in his back.

“I feel good and each day I’m getting better,’’ Simmons said after scoring six points and grabbing six rebounds in 21:55. “I’m trying to get some rhythm with this team, just play the game and read everything that’s going on.”

He’s impressed his coach.

“As he continues to stack days and games together, then his instinctive nature comes out,’’ coach Jacque Vaughn said.
