Lithuanian basketball news portal krepsinis.net announced that Zalgiris are interested in Maccabi's Brazilian guard Alex Garcia (28, 1.91). The club is looking for a backup for Marcus Brown. Garcia is one of the candidates for that position. Zalgiris GM, Gediminas Navikauskas denied rumours that Alex Garcia would sign a contract this week.
Alex Garcia played in 23 games in Euroleague last season. In almost 19 minutes per game he averaged 5 points per game and reached the final with Maccabi.
