Nikola Jokic, the Serbian sensation who secured back-to-back MVP titles in 2021 and 2022 before leading the Denver Nuggets to their first NBA championship in 2023, opted for a more laid-back approach to his offseason.

Following the victorious NBA campaign, the 28-year-old center returned to his homeland, Serbia, to unwind and detach from the basketball grind.

Videos circulating on the internet showcased Jokic enjoying horse racing and partaking in various non-basketball-related activities.

During the Nuggets’ Media Day press conference, Jokic was asked about his offseason relationship with the basketball.

His response reflected his desire to take a break from the sport: “A couple times. Not much.”

Sitting next to Jokic, Jamal Murray playfully chimed in, wearing a smile, and asserted, “No, he didn’t.”
