Amidst the starry night, Dennis Schroder’s brilliance shone the brightest. He guided Germany to an 85-82 victory over Australia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
With 30 points, Schroder’s drive to the basket secured an 83-81 lead with 46 seconds left. Despite a late effort from Australia, Germany’s key defensive play and Maodo Lo’s contribution of 20 points sealed the win.
This triumph came after overcoming a challenge when they lost Franz Wagner to injury in a previous match against Japan.
