Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis shared insights into the contrasting spacing dynamics between NBA and FIBA basketball after Team USA’s convincing 99-72 victory over New Zealand in the FIBA World Cup.

When asked by Christos Tsaltas about the differences in court spacing, Portis acknowledged, “I think they kind of pack the paint a lot here. Obviously, in the NBA they call three seconds in the paint and things like that…

“Obviously, the spacing is different, but basketball is basketball. You go out there and ball out, trust your work, let your work work, and go out there and be yourself. That’s the biggest thing when playing this game.”
