BWB Europe 2023 will bring together 40 boys and 40 girls from across Europe to compete alongside their peers and learn directly from current and former NBA and WNBA players and coaches, including San Antonio Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan, two-time WNBA champion Ruth Riley, 2011 NBA champion and NBA elite basketball academics & player pathways lead Brian Cardinal, and former NBA player Kerry Kittles. NBA assistant coaches Joseph Blair (Washington Wizards), James Penn (Memphis Grizzlies), Brian Randle (Detroit Pistons), Fred Vinson (New Orleans Pelicans), Ben Sullivan (Houston Rockets) and Mitch Johnson (San Antonio Spurs) will also serve as BWB Europe coaches. San Antonio Spurs General Manager Brian Wright will serve as the camp director.

The players and coaches will lead the BWB campers through a variety of activities, including movement efficiency drills, offensive and defensive skill stations, three-point contests, 5-on-5 games, and life skills and leadership development sessions. In addition, more than 50 boys and girls from the local community ages 17 and under will take part in a Jr. NBA clinic on Saturday, August 26.

A ceremony on the final day of the camp will award the Kim Bohuny Camp MVP, the Patrick Baumann Sportsmanship Award, the Three-Point Champion and the Defensive MVP to the boys and girls who distinguish themselves on the court and as leaders. BWB Europe coaches and members of the NBA’s Referee Operations department will lead development clinics for local coaches and referees throughout the week.

BWB Europe 2023 will be supported by Nike, a global partner of BWB since 2002, which will outfit participants with Nike apparel and footwear, and Gatorade, which will keep players and coaches hydrated throughout the camp.

BWB has reached more than 4,200 participants from 137 countries and territories since 2001, with 112 former campers advancing to the NBA or WNBA. The NBA and FIBA have staged 71 BWB camps in 47 cities across 32 countries on six continents.
