As the James Harden-Daryl Morey drama continues to reach intensifying heights, Joel Embiid commits to a cryptic move that may add another pressuring layer to the Philadelphia 76ers’ nightmarish offseason.

As such, it was spotted within the reigning league MVP’s X account that his affiliations with the Philadelphia 76ers have been nowhere to be found. The location “Philadelphia, PA” and “PROCESSING…” in his account bio are already nonexistent.

This social media move notably served as another channel for Harden last month to express his belief that his time in Philadelphia has ended.

For some, this can be just treated like a grain of salt. But considering the ongoing spicy rift between Harden and Morey – which even saw the All-Star publicly calling the executive a “liar” after being betrayed in his free agency wish – Embiid could be absolutely puzzled now about the 76ers’ direction and stability moving forward.

Last month, Embiid made it clear that he intends to have his co-star to be back at his side for one more run in Philly. But as the basketball relationship between Harden and Morey has already collapsed, seeing the future Hall of Famer reforging his commitment to the franchise after a disgruntling summer seems unbelievable and undeniably impossible in sight.

With Morey not being able to meet his desired return for Harden’s trade request, specifically from the L.A. Clippers, their stern expectation of still having the 32-year-old join their training camp might just set up the Sixers for a devastating implosion. For now, the club’s top executive is sitting in a hot seat and has an agitating task to meet a necessary conclusion that will put Philadelphia in a peaceful position.

And for Embiid, the level of noise and monitoring amongst league rivals about his availability on the marketplace will just further escalate with one rising Eastern Conference power being noted as the most prominent potential suitor for his superstar service.
