Zach Collins shares an unbelievable ultimatum he received from Coach Gregg Popovich during a terrible shooting slump. Zach reveals how he couldn’t hit a shot for a three-game stretch, going 3 for 16 from three-point range.

Frustrated with the team’s performance, Coach Popovich called out Zach during a practice, forbidding him from shooting threes ever again, not even in pick-and-pop situations.

For weeks, Zach followed the coach’s directive, focusing on rolling to the basket instead of shooting threes. But eventually, Zach couldn’t resist his natural shooting instincts and started sneaking in a few three-pointers in practice.

As his shot improved, Coach Popovich noticed the change and encouraged Zach to shoot more threes per game. Looking back, Zach now realizes that Coach Popovich made this bold move to help him get out of his shooting slump and become a more well-rounded player.
