Bobby Portis, one of the selected 12 NBA players for Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup, is eager to foster connections with his teammates, and he’s particularly thrilled about getting to know Anthony Edwards better. The 29-year-old Milwaukee Bucks forward recently expressed his fondness for the young talent.

Portis mentioned, “Man, I like Anthony Edwards a lot. That’s my guy. From the South too. Kind of talk like me as well. So definitely somebody I could connect with for sure.” The genuine camaraderie is evident as Edwards affectionately addresses Portis as “OG,” highlighting their mutual respect and bond.

Despite being in his ninth NBA season and not yet reaching the age of 30, Portis is amused by the title of “OG” given to him by Edwards.

He speaks highly of the young player’s character, describing him as a “great dude” with a remarkable spirit. Portis commends Edwards not only for his remarkable basketball talent but also for the positive energy he brings to the team.
