Draymond Green, the four-time NBA champion, recently made headlines with his remarks on Paul George’s podcast, expressing frustration over being drafted behind Andrew Nicholson at the 19th pick in 2012. Green humorously recalled the time when people compared him to Nicholson, noting that he didn’t believe Nicholson looked like a traditional basketball player.

In response to Green’s comments, Andrew Nicholson, who spent five years in the NBA before playing in Asia, shared his thoughts on the Hip Hop Hoops podcast. Nicholson saw Green’s remarks as an insecurity on Green’s part and emphasized his support for other players’ success.

Nicholson, currently playing for the Bay Area Dragons in Hong Kong, expressed his disappointment over Green’s questioning of the draft situation 11 years later.

“I see it as an insecurity on [Draymond Green’s] end… I like seeing guys do well… When someone has kind of that insecurity and doesn’t want to see someone else do well or is questioning 11 years later why this guy was [drafted] before me, it’s kind of disappointing,” Nicholson said, via ClutchPoints.
