Brandon Miller shocked the basketball community as he revealed that his idol in Paul George is his GOAT pick, and the Charlotte Hornets prospect further shed some light on this personal notion as he appeared on the Podcast P of the L.A. Clippers star.
Miller’s reasoning on why George is his pick? It’s just because of the amazing highlight reel moment that was made by the All-Star swingman back in his Indiana Pacers days by posterizing Miami Heat center Chris Andersen in the 2013 East Finals.
“Indiana Pacers Paul George, especially when you dunked on Birdman,” Miller said, per Joey Linn of Sports Illustrated. “That’s my favorite highlight of yours, for sure.”
Miller also pointed out that it’s just a surreal experience for him to get this far and be able to face his childhood idol soon in the NBA.
“It’s definitely a great moment. [I’ve] been looking up to him for a long time, studying his game, stealing his moves, just putting my own spin on them. And now that I’m up here with him now, I get to compete against him, I think that’s an even better experience.”
Miller will grace the league as one of the most exciting and must-watched rookies for the 2023-24 season. But at the end of the day, he’s just a one, little kid living his dream to the fullest.
