Victor Oladipo will be sent by the Miami Heat to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder, in return, will gain draft compensations just to absorb the $9.45 million final-year contract of the veteran guard, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The removal of Oladipo creates a major space for the Heat towards their cap flexibility, and they may be able to complete the Max Strus sign-and-trade pact with the Cleveland Cavaliers as hinted by The Athletic’s John Hollinger.

Oladipo spent a season with the Thunder back in 2016-17 which ultimately prepared him to rise from stardom for the next few years in the Indiana Pacers.

As such, it is yet to be seen if Oladipo will either remain in OKC or get traded afterward. His status for next season is yet to be determined upon tearing the patellar tendon of his left knee early in the postseason.
