Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter has decided to decline his $2.2 million player option for 2023-24, making himself an unrestricted free agent according to HoopsHype’s Mike Scotto.

Carter had a solid 2022-23 for the Bucks wherein he enjoyed career-highs in points (8.0), rebounds (2.5), and minutes (22.3) across 81 games played (39 starts). He also shot consistently from three-point land tallying 42.1 percent per 4.2 attempts.

Also a solid defender from the perimeter, Carter is poised to obtain significant offers from other teams as his value suddenly increased with the Bucks upon serving as the main backup point man for Jrue Holiday.

Carter has been in Milwaukee since the middle of the 2021-22 season. He previously played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, and the Brooklyn Nets.
