The end of this year’s NBA Finals also marked the end of Udonis Haslem’s career as a professional basketball player. For the oldest player of the league at 43-years-old it was a finish of a 20-year journey.

In the process Haslem won three NBA championships – in 2006, 2012 and 2013. He was close to capping his career with a fourth ring, but it was the Nuggets that got the crown.

Despite not winning the title in the final year of his career, the veteran says that he has no regrets and has communicated that to his teammates.

“I wanted to get the win, but I’m proud of my guys, proud of my team,” he said. “I just kept repeating to the guys that I have no regrets. I’m completely fulfilled. I just thank those guys for giving me this amazing memory… They gave me a final season that I will never ever forget. That’s all I can ask for.”
