One of the key players for the championship-winning Nuggets team, Bruce Brown will probably leave the team this summer.
As pointed out by ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Denver is limited to offering the 26-year-old shooting guard a salary of $7.8 million. Brown is thought to have increased his value significantly.
Brown could remain with the Nuggets if he uses his player option for the 2023-2024. But it is most likely that he will decline it and will hit free agency.
He averaged 12.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26.5 minutes per game for the Nuggets in this year’s playoffs.
When asked if he would like to return to the team next season during the postgame press conference, Brown said “For sure.”
