Goran Dragic is not expected to play for Slovenia at Eurobasket in September.
Miami Heat President Pat Riley met with Dragic about his invitation to join the team, and it was collectively decided that it would be in the point guard’s best interests to spend the rest of the summer preparing for his first full year in Miami.
Slovenia are to play co-hosts Croatia, Greece, FYR of Macedonia, Georgia and Netherlands in their opening group games in September.
