In Saturday night’s victory over the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat 104-103, the Boston Celtics shooting guard Derrick White converted a putback sending the series back to Boston for a Game 7.

He became the second player in NBA history to hit a buzzer-beater with his team trailing and facing elimination – Michael Jordan’s “The Shot” for Chicago against Cleveland in 1989 being the other.

After Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Celtics star Jaylen Brown (26 points) reacted to the game-winner: “In all honesty, I’m in full prayer mode … I knew our season was on the brink and I’m just grateful to God that we was able to get the win.”
