With the Milwaukee Bucks narrowing down their selective choices for their newest top coach, one candidate reportedly drew a strong impression on the franchise cornerstone in Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Per Marc Stein, the Bucks superstar is “intrigued” by Adrian Griffin. Griffin, an assistant for the Toronto Raptors, emerged as one of the reported finalists for the team’s coaching search, joining both Nick Nurse and Kenny Atkinson.

Antetokounmpo is set to talk with the three mentioned coaches as they are vying for the major open coaching position of the title-contending Bucks teams. Though Griffin still has no head coaching experience, he has been a consistent candidate for many teams’ hunt for lead tacticians for the past few years.

The Bucks decided to part ways with Mike Budenholzer after a humiliating first-round exit by the franchise this 2023 postseason. Under Budenholzer, Milwaukee tallied a .693 percent regular season win rate since 2018-19 and captured an NBA title last 2020-21 campaign.
