The Nuggets came back for a 15-point halftime deficit in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals to defeat the Lakers 113-111.

LeBron James had a chance to at least tie the game on the last play but he was stopped by Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon on his way to the basket.

After the game Murray was asked about the final play. “I was guarding Rui [Hachimura], he set a screen for Bron, AG chased him and I just kind of had to be there knowing that help would be behind me,” the point guard said. “And then I kind of caught his drive at the end. I could get the ball and I just put two hand on it and didn’t let him really get off a good shot.”

Murray revealed that he remembered a play by James from another game so anticipated a left-hand layup from the four-time NBA champion.

“At the end of the play I just saw AG was a little late and I just kind of remember that play against Indiana when he went for the left-hand layup, so I wasn’t gonna let him him have a good angle, at least give AG the time to get back and get a contest,” he said.
