The Nuggets and the Lakers will clash in the Western Conference Finals for the second time in three years. The two teams met at this stage of postseason in 2020 as well.
Denver and Los Angeles squared off four times during the regular season too, but all of those games were played before the trade deadline after which the Lakers make serious roster changes.
Nikola Jokic was asked about the new-look Lakers ahead of Game 1 of conference finals. “This is going to be basically a new team for us,” the Serbian superstar said about the Lakers.
“So probably everything is new, everything is different. They’re playing amazing this playoffs. After the deadline they’re playing really well. So we’ll see what’s gonna be.”
