Panathinaikos completed the signing of 22-year-old Nikola Pekovic. The contract lenght and financial terms are yet to be disclosed but are estimated 4.5 million euros for 3 seasons. Pekovic was one of the brightest stars in Euroleague this season playing for Partizan averaging 16.4 points per game. He helped Partizan to retain Serbian and Adriatic league titles.

Partizan made a surprise this season in Euroleague by reaching quarter-finals with Nikola Pekovic being one of the main weapons at the club.

Nikola Pekovic played four times against Panathinaikos last season in Euroleague. He averaged 14.75 points per game against his new team with the best performance coming in Belgrade in the group stage when Pekovic poured 28 points.

The signing of youngster Dimitris Verginis should be announced in a few hours. He is in Athens since yesterday and will sign a contract for 3 season for 250K euros per year. Panathinaikos will probably loan him out to either Marrousi or Panellinios, both local Athens clubs.
