Fenerbahce Istanbul came back from a 16-point deficit to defeat Olympiacos Piraeus 82-78 at Peace and Friendship Stadium in Game 2 of their best-of-five series. With the series tied at 1-1, the two teams will now head to Istanbul for Game 3.

Despite Olympiacos leading by as much as 26-10 early in the second quarter, Fenerbahce regrouped behind Carsen Edwards, who scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half. Nigel Hayes-Davis led Fenerbahce’s comeback in the second half with 13 of his 15 points. Johnathan Motley also contributed to the victory with 15 points.

In the losing effort, Kostas Sloukas and Sasha Vezenkov each scored 18 points. However, it wasn’t enough to hold off Fenerbahce’s surge. Fenerbahce managed to edge ahead in the final minute and held on for an important victory, which gives them momentum heading into Game 3 at home.
