Kevon Looney is one of the best rebounders in the NBA. Most recently he grabbed 22 rebounds in Game 5 win against the Kings which put the Warriors 3-2 ahead in the series.

Draymond Green was asked about the 27-year-old forward after the game. The four-time NBA champion compared his teammate to Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

“Kevon has become like a Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, like a calming force,” Green said about Looney. “When we were a lot younger in this run, we had those guys, Shaun and Andre, that list goes on, but those guys in particular that no matter what was going on – I start turning the ball over, Klay goes haywire, stuff goes haywire – and they would come in and just calm us down.

“And Kevon is that for this team. He’s that stabilizing force that allows everyone else to focus on what they to focus on. They way he rebounds the ball is incredible.

“His playmaking has taken another step in the right direction and just continues to get better. He’s a guy who we have the ultimate trust in.

“And also on the defensive end if you get beat, he’s going to be there. And I know for when I’m on the floor with him, I’m so much more comfortable on the defensive end just because he doesn’t miss any assignment.”

Looney is averaging 6 points, 14.4 rebounds and 5 assists in 30.6 minutes per game in this year’s playoffs.
