Significant details have emerged around the unavailability of Kawhi Leonard (right knee sprain) during the NBA on TNT’s playoff coverage this Saturday.

According to Chris Haynes, Leonard has been experiencing swelling in his right knee, and his ongoing sit-out is not considered a pain tolerance issue.

Haynes added that consultations recommended Leonard to not play to eliminate any further risks, as the superstar forward got an indefinite timetable of return.

Leonard aggravated his right knee sprain at the start of the series. He still managed to play in Game 2 before being shelved in the last two games.

With Leonard and Paul George (knee) out, the Clippers’ title chances appear blurry this year. Following the Saturday first-round matchup, the Phoenix Suns now lead them 3-1 heading to Arizona in Game 5.
