The Celtics lost game 3 against the Hawks (122-130) but still hold the lead in the series (2-1). Marcus Smart was Boston’s second-top scorer with 24 points in 33 minutes of play.

The point guard suffered a tailbone injury after falling awkwardly on his back in the third quarter after jumping high for a rebound.

He was substituted but returned to the game in the fourth quarter. During the postgame press conference Smart was asked about the fall.

“It’s sore. Same spot as the last time. Just caught me off guard the fall. But we’ll see how I feel in the morning,” Smart said postgame.
